Crestern Property is a property developer based in Alor Setar, Kedah. After decades of operations under Long Zhuan Development, the company decided that it was time to reform their identity to keep up with the competition and modernise the development trend in their home state of Kedah. The company intended to introduce a mixed development in the heart of Alor Setar to cater to a more multiethnic community. Following this, we were approached to lead their rebranding process to transform Crestern Property into a more contemporary brand.
In order to revitalise the brand, we came up with a strategy that emphasises community development. Before initiating the process, we identified the target market so we could develop the right messaging to communicate with the target audience. The development of the new brand strategy focuses heavily on our essence to breathe new life onto the town through urbanisation. The primary message for the rebrand is Breathing New Life. Through their numerous projects, Crestern aims to reinvigorate Alor Setar and bring convenience and comfort to the locals. The brand messaging can be adapted to different projects further down the line to inspire a modern experience for the target audience. Additionally, the expansion of the brand identity also establishes the brand as a pioneer of property development.
Our creative approach for Crestern features visual depictions of an idealised, comfortable living lifestyle and a refreshed brand mark. The new brand mark is crafted in a continuous upward flow of shape to indicate a progressive and ever-growing company while the colours are symbolic to the steady growth of the brand. We then worked on creative visuals designed particularly to convey that Crestern is constructing more than just buildings, they are building a community in the heart of Alor Setar. The sense of community and comfort behind our visuals were able to strike a chord among the target audience.
Overall, the rebrand was a huge success as the transition and activation campaign led to Crestern’s success in becoming one of the top two property developers in Kedah. With our clear and appealing messaging, the brand managed to identify and communicate effectively towards a more multicultural community who are keen in building a modern future with Crestern Property.
